Debbie Harry is the front person of globally iconic rock band Blondie. They wrote great rock hooks and brilliant, ironic lyrics. Debbie Harry went from the pages of Punk magazine to the cover of just about every mainstream publication on the newsstands. After Blondie, Debbie released a myriad of solo albums the first of which was Koo Koo.
Deborah Harry is also an actor, appearing in "Union City" (1979), "Videodrome" (1983), "Hairspray" (1986), "Drop Dead Rock" (1995) and recently a starring role in "Heavy" (late 1995). She continues to pack a powerful punch as a performer, doing an exhaustive round or tours with the Jazz Passengers, solo performances and charity benefits. In late 1996 Deborah Harry's vocal talents were featured on 9 tracks of the Jazz Passengers Album, "Individually Twisted". She also found time to appear with the band Groove Thing on the single "Command & Obey.
In 2006 her place in Rock history was solidified whenshe was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In the midst of a world tour, Blondie just released their brand new album, "Panic of Girls" in September.
